Avon Tyrrell week of 19th May 2008

Well the weekend saw our first Sports Club Team Building weekend which was a fantastic success with all the budding Colden Common Footballers having an enjoyable weekend and learning to work together as a team. This is something of a new programme we are offering at Avon tyrrell although are staff are well practiced in using our outdoor facilities to develop team building. I have again been busy (Avon Tyrrell House) with the second visit from Locks Heath School and the feedback I have had is they are all enjoying themselves immensely.

The Maintenance Boys took delivery of our compost toilet early in the week and it is now built and operational and there to support the users of our Straw Bale Classroom which is now being built. Surely for those of you who have never seen a Compost Toilet, Avon Tyrrell is now the place to visit to see one.

We have had a busy Bank Holiday weekend with the campsite busy as well as all the Self Catering Accommodation Booked and guests have been using me, Avon Tyrrell House. Despite the wet weekend everyone still managed to have a fun weekend which is testament to what a wonderful place this is.

Avon Tyrrell week of 12th May 2008

Hello again, time has gone by so quickly and all the staff have been very busy with guests staying in me, The Avon Tyrrell House, and using the Self Catering accommodation. We have also been busy with campers in the grounds, Avon Tyrrell is such a happy fun place when it is full.


Black Firs Lodge is now open and initial feedback is very positive, it is our best lodge yet and bookings are coming in fast. We recommend a visit as it is fantastic and is great place to spend a visit to our Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre and the New Forest; so please call our Customer Services Team on 01425 672347 or email info@ukyouth.org to arrange a stay.
